We offer a Drug Checking Service in order to inform the users about the composition of the drugs and therefore are in a position to advise them on less risky taking of said substance. We also offer customized, non-moralistic, and scientific drug information directed at drug users. The Drug Checking Service started operating in Spain from 1999 and since 2014 it is also offered as an International Drug Testing Service.
Our services
Energy Control provides an analysis service with the two most powerful analytical techniques available to analyze drug samples: Gas Chromatography coupled to Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) and Liquid Chromatography coupled with Mass Spectrometer (LC-MS)
Technically we identify all compounds except salts, some sugars, organic solvents (methanol, hexane, acetone, etc.), gases (butane, propane, etc.) and heavy metals.
We can’t check steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs.
Note: We cannot quantify substances sent in as unknown.

We offer an anonymous and confidential service where users can submit their drug samples for testing in order to know their composition and purity, identify adulterants and provide bespoke information from a harm reduction perspective.
We would like to remind everyone that the International Drug Testing Service’s goal is to provide a drug testing/analysis service to users outside Spain, focused on the preservation of health at an affordable price. Our Drug Checking Service is specifically designed for the final users. None of our results can be used as a guarantee of quality of any drug vendor or product. Energy Control declines all responsibility in this sense.

Process and techniques:
Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS): We use this system to separate and identify most compounds. We perform a first-screening analysis with this technique to detect compounds. We also use GC-MS to quantify cocaine, amphetamine, benzodiazepines, cannabis and some other drugs.
Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS): Using this system we can quantify substances that can be degraded at high temperatures like LSD or Modafinil. We can also quantify drugs that require high precision techniques such as fentanyl.
Ion Trap-Mass Spectrometry (IT-MS): This process is used to calculate the molecular mass of a compound and perform fragmentation techniques in order to detect substances that cannot be identified by GC-MS. This technique is used to investigate new compounds and confirm any inconclusive results.
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC): We use a HPLC linked to an ultraviolet detector (HPLC-UV), mainly for quantifying LSD.
